Cafayate
Cafayate is people, nature, mountains, valleys, canyons, culture, tradition, art, genuine handcraft and famous high-altitude wines. Cafayate is the fusion of the aboriginal and Spanish heritage and from immigrants from all over the world.
Other local attraction is the artistic creation and the work of artisans. Works might be visited in Art Galleries, Artisan Markets, and Communal Fairs or directly at the houses –shops of the artisans.
Cafayate is the most important town of the Calchaquí Valleys, well known by its wine production, arts and handcraft. The surroundings are rich in places to be discovered : the Divisadero, trekking-walks to the Rio Colorado, San Pedro de Yacochuya, bike-tours, horse-riding, trekking into the mountains or the Quebrada de las Conchas, walks to the dunes or by the vineyards, market and handcraft shops, Archeological and Wine Museum.
